AFVS Spring 2023 Open Studios will take place on Friday, April 28th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on levels B, 1 , 2, 3, 4, and 5 of the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, at 24 Quincy Street. Artwork made this semester in all AFVS studio classes will be on view. Student film screenings will happen at 7:00pm as well as further screenings which are still TBA.

Fred Moten is an alumnus of Harvard College, a recent MacArthur Fellow, and a Professor in the Departments of Performance Studies and Comparative Literature at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Moten teaches courses in Black study, poetics, and critical theory, and creates new conceptual spaces that accommodate emergent forms of Black cultural production, aesthetics, and social life.
