#  Dominga Sotomayor premieres The Year of the Everlasting Storm at the Cannes Film Festival

 Visiting Faculty member Dominga Sotomayor traveled to France to premiere *[The Year of the Everlasting Storm](https://www.festival-cannes.com/en/films/the-year-of-the-everlasting-storm)*, directed by Sotomayor along with Jafar Panahi, Anthony Chen, Malik Vitthal, Laura Poitras, David Lowery, and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, at the Cannes Film Festival. From the Festival website:

 "A love letter to cinema, shot across the US, Iran, Chile, China and Thailand, by seven of today's most vital filmmakers. New life in the old house. A breakaway, a reunion. Surveillance and reconciliation. An unrecognizable world, in the year of the everlasting storm."

 Dominga is teaching [AFVS 150a: Film Directing: From Script to Screen](/courses-list) this fall term.
