 

#  Matt Saunders Wins Rappaport Prize

[Matt Saunders](/people/matt-saunders), assistant professor in VES, has been awarded the 2015 Rappaport Prize by the [deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum](http://www.decordova.org/). The annual award is given to an established contemporary artist with strong connections to New England. Director of the deCordova John B. Ravenal calls Saunders an “outstanding recipient” of the Prize and notes that “his work is innovative and thought-provoking, and offers a fascinating reflection on the intersection of memory, images, and history.” Saunders, a 1997 graduate of VES, will give the Rappaport Prize Lecture on November 4 at 6:30 pm at Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
