#  Meet our Visiting Faculty for 2017-18

 VES welcomes six new visiting faculty members to the department for the 2017-18 year: [Judith Belzer](https://ves.fas.harvard.edu/people/judith-belzer) (painting, fall term); [Sean Cubitt](https://ves.fas.harvard.edu/people/sean-cubitt) (film and visual studies, fall term); [Philippe-Alain Michaud](https://ves.fas.harvard.edu/people/philippe-alain-michaud) (film and visual studies, spring term); [Ken Okiishi](https://ves.fas.harvard.edu/people/ken-okiishi) (studio art, spring term); [Elle Pérez](https://ves.fas.harvard.edu/people/elle-perez) (photography); and [Richard Renaldi](https://ves.fas.harvard.edu/people/richard-renaldi) (photography, spring term).

 Returning to the department are [Guy Maddin](https://ves.fas.harvard.edu/people/guy-maddin) (film/video) and [Kianja Strobert](https://ves.fas.harvard.edu/people/kianja-strobert) (painting, fall term), who both taught in 2016-17; as well as [Steven Ascher](https://ves.fas.harvard.edu/people/steven-ascher) (film/video), who taught in 2001-02; [Andrew London](https://ves.fas.harvard.edu/people/andy-london) (animation), who taught in 2015-16; [Joana Pimenta](https://ves.fas.harvard.edu/people/joana-pimenta) (film/video and film and visual studies), a recent graduate of the department’s PhD program and former TF; and [Daniel Rowe](https://ves.fas.harvard.edu/people/daniel-rowe) (animation, fall term), a former TA.
