Dominga Sotomayor premieres The Year of the Everlasting Storm at the Cannes Film Festival

Visiting Faculty member Dominga Sotomayor traveled to France to premiere The Year of the Everlasting Storm, directed by Sotomayor along with Jafar Panahi, Anthony Chen, Malik Vitthal, Laura Poitras, David Lowery, and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, at the Cannes Film Festival. From the Festival website:

"A love letter to cinema, shot across the US, Iran, Chile, China and Thailand, by seven of today's most vital filmmakers. New life in the old house. A breakaway, a reunion. Surveillance and reconciliation. An unrecognizable world, in the year of the everlasting storm."

Dominga is teaching AFVS 150a: Film Directing: From Script to Screen this fall term.
