Please join us for a conversation between Professor Giuliana Bruno (Harvard, AFVS) and acclaimed Mexican writer and artist Carmen Boullosa on her new feminist novel, The Book of Eve, named one of the Best Books of 2023 by The New Yorker.

What if everything they’ve told us about the Garden of Eden was wrong? Come and hear how Eve decides to tell her own version of the story of Genesis.

Carmen Boullosa is an award-winning Mexican poet, novelist, playwright, essayist and artist. The author of twenty novels, three books of essays, nine volumes of poetry, and ten plays, she is one of the pioneers of the artist's book in Mexico. Her work treats moments of history in which a collision is about to change society, reflecting on the way identity is built, with a particular focus on gender issues within a Latin American context.
