Giuliana Bruno to host Chantal Akerman tribute at the HFA

Giuliana Bruno will host a special tribute to Chantal Akerman at the Harvard Film Archive at 7 pm on Monday, February 8, with the screening of her last film, No Home Movie (2015).

Akerman was a groundbreaking filmmaker and former VES professor who tragically passed away in October. Details about Chantal’s life and work can be found in her New York Times obituary.

No Home Movie was Akerman’s final film. It is a portrait of her elderly mother, and restlessly searches “for some kind of resolution to her difficult relationship with both her mother and her native Belgium.” For more information about the screening, visit the Harvard Film Archive website.
