Joshua Oppenheimer ’97 nominated for Oscar

The Look of Silence, the latest film by documentary filmmaker Joshua Oppenheimer '97, was nominated for an Academy Award in the Documentary Feature category. The film explores the aftermath of the 1965 Indonesian genocide. Oppenheimer, a Special Concentration student who studied filmmaking in VES, was previously nominated for his film The Act of Killing (2013).
