The VES Student Film Screenings will take place in the lecture hall of the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts. Beginning film/video classes will screen work on Thursday, May 2, 2019, from 1:00-4:00pm; intermediate film/video classes will screen work on Thursday, May 2, 2019, from 7:00-10:00pm; and intermediate film/video classes and senior film/video thesis students will screen work on Friday, May 3, from 7:00-10:00pm and on Saturday, May 4, from 7:00-10:00pm.

The opening reception for the VES 2019 Senior Thesis Exhibition, entitled Either/Or, will be held at 5:00pm on Friday, May 3, 2019. Work will be displayed in the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, on Level 1 and in the Sert Gallery, on level 3. The VES 2019 Senior Thesis Exhibition will be available to view from May 2, 2019 to May 30, 2019. Exhibiting artists include Lova Blåvarg, Owen Borges, Moriah Lee, Sarah Perlmutter, Morgan Spaulding, Austin Weber, and Kay Xia.

The Harvard Film Archive and the Department of Visual and Environmental Studies are happy to welcome Lav Diaz as a 2018-19 Baby Jane Holzer Visiting Artist in Film.
